Stars shine on opening day in Pittsburgh
The 7th and final event of the 2023-24 T1ER regular season kicked off on Friday, February 2nd in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. This weekend provides a unique opportunity for teams at both the 16U and 18U levels, as it’s taking place in conjunction with the 2024 NAHL and T1ER Top Prospects Tournaments.
Scouts from all NAHL teams and many NCAA scouts are in attendance, looking for the next crop of talent to load their rosters with. To date, 40 players in the T1ER League have signed tender agreements with North American Hockey League Teams.

Day 1 Recaps:
16U T1ER: Indiana Elite opened up the 16U slate with a 6-5 win over the Philadelphia Little Flyers. Filippas Pilastos was outstanding for Indiana, burying four times in the win. The Esmark Stars dominated Biggby Coffee 8-2. Nikita Kolomejtsev and Vitalii Ulianov both potted a pair of goals in the victory. The Tri State Spartans took down the New Hampshire Mountain Kings 5-3. Blake Daviaux, Connor Sayler, and Carter Greene all tallied a goal and an assist for Tri State. Pittsburgh Penguins Elite took down CarShield AAA 5-2. Quinn McKenzie tallied two goals and an assist to help fuel the Penguins. The Esmark Stars edged past Seacoast Prep Academy 3-2. Emmet McClaine had two points in the win. Biggby Coffee took down the Tri State Spartans 5-4 in shootout fashion. Hunter Jackson made 16 saves and 2 shootout stops in the crease for Biggby. CarShield AAA scored five goals in the 2nd period en route to a victory over Indy Elite. Landon Rogers snagged a hat trick in the winning effort. The Philadelphia Little Flyers picked up a convincing 6-1 win over New Hampshire to finish day one. Kieran Crossan and Connor Davis both had three points for the Little Flyers.
18U T1ER: The Philadelphia Flyers dominated the Tri State Spartans 7-2. Connor Patton lit the lamp twice for Philadelphia. The Twin City Ice Mavericks shut out the Cleveland Barons 4-0. John Feeley kept out 24 shots in the shutout. Seacoast Prep Academy edged past the Windy City Storm 2-1 in a shootout. Danill Cepov kept out 31 shots in regulation and all three shootout attempts Tri City sent his way to pick up the victory. CarShield AAA edged past Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1. Branson Appelman kept out all but one of 32 shots faced in the win. Biggby Coffee beat Indiana Elite in convincing fashion, winning 5-2. Matthew Brick tallied two goals en route to the victory. The Esmark Stars dominated the Philadelphia Little Flyers 9-0. Evan Ng and Maxwell Rutkowski both scored twice in the offensive surge.
