T1ER East NAHL Experience Weekend (NH): Day 1

Day one of T1ER East NAHL Experience Weekend in New Hampshire has concluded. There was plenty of action between the 14U, 16U and 18U levels, for the full day of scores be sure to visit the T1ER Game Center - nat1hl.com/game-center/menu

14U: 

There were three contests at the 14U level, all three being shutouts for the winning team. When taking a look at game one, the California Wave defeated the Maine Nordiques by a score of 3-0. Second year Wave forward Nicholas Sauritch scored not one but two goals for his squad, aiding them to victory. Between the pipes, Easton Montemayor turned away all 23 shots. 

In the second game, the New Hampshire Mountain Kings defeated the Danbury Hat Tricks by a score of 4-0. The Mountain Kings pulled from depth scoring as four different players found the back of the net. Although scoring was diverse, only one player was able to tally two points, Hayden Edinger dished out an assist on the second goal in addition to tallying the third. 

To wrap things up in the 14U age bracket, Philadelphia Hockey Club defeated the Seattle Junior Kraken by a score of 4-0. Jason Bloor was the star of the show offensively, netting two goals, one in the first and one in the third. Cameron Willis was also able to tally two points of his own as he opened up scoring in the first period in addition to recording an assist on Bloor’s second goal. 

16U:

The day kicked off with the West Chester Wolves Academy taking down Nest Hockey by a score of 4-3 in a shootout. The Wolves came out the gates hot as Trace Whitlock opened up scoring just 37 seconds into the contest and the team would go on to score a second goal in the first, entering the 2nd period up 2-0. Nest would respond, scoring the next three goals of the game before Parker Handy tallied his second of the game to send things into extra innings. After a scoreless overtime, Lucas Hill would be the lone scorer in the shootout to seal the deal for his squad. 

The New Jersey Titans defeated Philadelphia Hockey Club by a score of 3-2, a fierce battle between the two clubs. In the first period, New Jersey got themselves on the board scoring a pair of goals to give themselves an early lead. At the 5:57 mark in the second, Carmine Laspata got Philly on the board, making things interesting as the two teams headed into the final frame. The third period was nothing short of exciting as both teams notched one goal a piece, the game winner coming off the stick of New Jersey’s Will Evans. 

18U:

The New Jersey Titans were victorious during their first contest of the event as they defeated Boston Hockey Academy by a score of 4-2. Each organization was able to net one goal a piece as things were all tied up after one. The Titans really got things rolling in the second as James Caldwell-Withrow and Ian McGrath put their team up 3-1 entering the final frame. Scoring opportunities continued in the final frame as each team netted one goal a piece, a fun back and forth contest for fans. 

 The Philadelphia Little Flyers Elite bounced back during their second game of the event as they took down Mount Academy by a score of 2-1. All three goals of the game were scored in the first period as the Little Flyers’ Shane Gleisner scored the first two goals before Mount’s James Martin cut Philly’s lead in half. Philadelphia’s netminder Richie Geisner had himself an incredible game as he was significantly tested by Mount, facing a total of 43 shots. The Gloucester City, NJ native turned away 42 of 43 shots for a game save percentage of .977.
