18U:
The 18U division was quiet today with only one game played between North Star Christian Academy and CarShield. Missouri’s Mason Grinnell scored the first goal of the game, the lone goal of the period and a recent NAHL tender to the St. Cloud Norsemen. CarSheild’s Brandon Catalano would go on to score the only goal of the 2nd period to tie things up, making things interesting as we headed into the final 17 minutes of play. North Star would eventually score a pair of goals in the final frame to claim victory, coming off the sticks of Quayden Silcox and Ian Christian.
16U:
The Danbury Hat Tricks picked up their sixth win of the T1ER after defeating the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights by a final score of 4-0. Three players on Danbury’s roster were able to register two points during the contest, including Riley Schmitz who found the back of the net not once but twice, including the game winning goal. Between the pipes, ‘08 netminder Luke Moforis earned his first shutout of the season after turning away all 23 shots he was faced with. Not only was this his first shutout, it was also his second consecutive victory as he picked up right where he left off after last weekend’s T1ER event in New Jersey.
After coming up short against the New Jersey Titans, the Lincoln Stars were able to cap off day1 on a high note as they got back in the win column after defeating Philadelphia Hockey Club by a final score of 5-3. The Stars were able to pull from depth scoring as all five goals were tallied from various players. Johnathan Foster and Camden Clark were the two players to record both a goal and an assist, Foster notching the lone assist on the game winner. It is worth noting that despite being down 5-1 entering the final period, PHC had a valiant comeback effort as they cut their deficit by scoring a pair of goals during the third.
15U:

Of his three goals, his most important tally came at the 9:37 mark of the third period where he scored the game winning goal on the man advantage.
Tri-State had an amazing second game of day one as they took down the Danbury Hat Tricks by a final score of 6-2.
