Biggby Coffee 18U defenseman Norwood signs NAHL Tender
The NAPHL's T1ER League is pleased to announce that the Biggby Coffee 18U defenseman Gavin Norwood has signed a NAHL tender agreement for the 2025-26 season with the Bismarck Bobcats of the NAHL’s Central Division.
At 17, Norwood is in his second season on the blueline for Biggby Coffee in the T1ER league. During his 16U season, Norwood was a key member of his squad’s lineup as the top scorer among defenseman, posting 5 points in 12 games, including one power play goal and one shootout goal. Because of contributions, the Spring Arbor, MI native was selected to participate in the T1ER Top Prospects Tournament.
Flipping over to the current season, Norwood has appeared in 8 games for Biggby, finding his way onto the scoresheet on two occasions. His lone goal of the season was tallied during his most recent contest on December 16th as he scored his team’s second goal against the St. Louis Jr. Blues.
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the T1ER - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2025 NAHL Draft.
