The race for the Dixon Cup begins next week!

The North American Prospects Hockey T1ER League (NAPHL) is thrilled to announce the schedule and format for the 2024-25 T1ER Dixon Cup League Championship, which will take place from February 14-17 in Troy and Rochester, Michigan. Games will be hosted at Buffalo Wild Wings Arena (Troy) and Suburban Ice (Rochester). We are excited to crown champions across each age level and showcase the incredible talent that has emerged throughout the season. This highly anticipated event will bring together top teams in a thrilling competition for the prestigious Dixon Cup.

The T1ER League remains one of the premier platforms in USA Hockey, featuring Tier 1 National Bound teams and producing more players currently in the NAHL than any other Tier 1 league. With this event taking place in Troy, MI, it serves as a key stop for NAHL scouts, with a strong NCAA presence expected as well.

To date, 50+ players from the T1ER League have signed tender agreements with NAHL teams, reinforcing the league’s reputation as a top development path for aspiring players.

T1ER Dixon Cup Playoff Format:

18U T1ER Gold Division

3 brackets of 4 teams each.
Teams play 3 round-robin games within their bracket.
Bracket winners + 1 wild card team advance to the Semi-Finals.

18U T1ER Silver Division

1 bracket of 4 teams.
Teams play 3 round-robin games and a Semi-Final game.
Top 2 teams advance to the Championship Game.

16U T1ER Gold Division

3 brackets of 4 teams each.
Teams play 3 round-robin games within their bracket.
Bracket winners + 1 wild card team advance to the Semi-Finals.

16U T1ER Silver Division

1 bracket of 4 teams.
Teams play 3 round-robin games and a Semi-Final game.
Top 2 teams advance to the Championship Game.

15U T1ER Division

2 brackets of 4 teams each.
Teams play 3 round-robin games within their bracket.
Top 2 teams per bracket advance to the Semi-Finals.

14U T1ER Division

1 bracket of 10 teams.
Teams play 3 round-robin games.
Top 4 teams advance to the Semi-Finals.

13U & 12U T1ER Divisions

Each division has 1 bracket of 5 teams.
Teams play 4 round-robin games.
Top 2 teams advance to the Championship Game.

Advancement Opportunities

As the T1ER Dixon Cup Championship wraps up, the NAHL and NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament will kick off, creating a prime opportunity for T1ER players to gain exposure and advancement opportunities. With NAHL and NA3HL coaches in attendance, this is an excellent chance for players to showcase their talent and take the next step in their hockey careers.
