Day 2 Highlights: T1ER Showcase Delivers Excitement Across 18U, 16U, and 15U divisions

September 26, 2025

Day 2 of the NAHL Showcase in Blaine featured another packed day of T1ER hockey across the 18U, 16U, and 15U divisions. From tight battles to standout individual efforts, the games provided plenty to watch and set the stage for the rest of the week. Click here to see all the results.

18U:

After claiming the 2025 Dixon Cup, CarShield has carried its hot streak into the new season, as the only undefeated team at the 18U level. While the team has tallied seven goals over its first two games, the standout story has been its defensive play and goaltending, which have yet to allow a single goal. In today’s dominant 5-0 win over Belle Tire, CarShield thrived on special teams, scoring three goals on the power play and one shorthanded. Depth was also on full display, as five different players found the back of the net to complete an all around team performance.

The Madison Capitols bounced back in a big way on day 2 of the Showcase after dropping a tight 1-0 opener to the Cleveland Barons. They came out firing against the Pittsburgh Stars, scoring back-to-back goals in the first before Pittsburgh cut the lead to 2-1 heading into the second period. Madison then took control, pouring in three unanswered goals in the middle frame, including Mason Majewski’s second of the night. The Stars fought back with two goals in the third, but the Capitols held on for a hard-earned 5-3 victory, showcasing their offensive depth and resilience.

16U:

Danbury stayed perfect at the Showcase, improving to 2-0 with a 6-2 win over the Lincoln Stars in a high-scoring matchup. After opening the event with a 1-0 victory, the Hat Tricks carried that momentum into Friday and exploded for four goals in the first period, including two on the power play. The offense slowed down in the second with just one more tally, but Danbury’s early lead proved too much to overcome. Lincoln pushed back with two goals in the third, yet the Hat Tricks sealed the game with a late marker to finish off the win. Braden Isquith and Michael Suarez led the charge offensively, each scoring twice in the victory.

The Seattle Kraken 16U squad continued their strong start at the Showcase, improving to 2-0 on the weekend with a 4-1 win over the Queen City Royals. After surrendering the opening goal on the power play, Seattle answered quickly with two goals of their own to take a 2-1 lead into the first intermission. Special teams became the story from there, as Felix Rondeau netted his second of the game on the man advantage in the second period, before the Kraken capped things off with a shorthanded tally in the third to seal the victory. With the win, Seattle now sits tied for the most goals scored in the 16U division.

15U:

The Omaha Mastery improved to 2-0 with a gritty 1-0 win over the Philadelphia Hockey Club. After a scoreless first period that saw Omaha kill off four penalties, the Mastery continued to battle through adversity in the second. Despite taking two more penalties, they flipped the script with a shorthanded goal that held up as the game-winner, scored by Adam Erstad. The third period was another defensive grind, with Omaha standing strong to close it out. Special teams proved to be the difference, as the Mastery penalty kill went a flawless 7-for-7 to secure the shutout victory.

After a tough loss on Thursday, the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights bounced back with a 4-1 win over the Queen City Royals. Despite outshooting their opponent 12-9 in the first, the game remained scoreless heading into the second period. Vegas finally broke through with the opening goal, though Queen City answered quickly to even the score before the third. In the final frame, the Jr. Knights took control, striking on the power play and adding two more to pull away. Hardty Huffman led the charge with a hat trick, including the game-winning goal, to secure the victory.
