T1ER Teams Shine as NAHL Showcase Comes to a Close

September 30, 2025

Day 4 of the NAHL Showcase in Blaine wrapped up the event as the 18U, 16U, and 15U divisions finished play. The closing slate of games highlighted the depth of competition and gave teams one last chance to show their progress over the week. Follow all the scores and results here.

18U:

After a tough Saturday loss to the Cleveland Barons, their only defeat of the season so far, CarShield bounced back in dominating fashion with a 6-1 win over the Pittsburgh Stars. The first period was fast-paced, with Brady Bates opening the scoring before Pittsburgh evened it up. CarShield quickly responded with two more goals, including a second from Bates, to take a 4-1 lead after one. The St. Louis squad continued to roll, adding two more in the second and one in the third. Bates and Nathen Jastrzebski, who also scored twice, led the way as CarShield cruised to victory.

Biggby closed out the event on a high note, defeating Team North Dakota 3-0 in a strong team effort. After starting the weekend with a win, dropping the next two games, and facing adversity, the squad battled together to finish on top. Although each period featured just one goal, second-year Biggby player Dimitri Tioumentsev stood out by scoring twice, bringing his total to four goals on the weekend.

16U:

The Seattle Jr. Kraken closed out the weekend as the only undefeated 16U team, though it took overtime to edge past Indiana Elite. The first period turned into a shootout, with Indy striking three times, including once on the power play, while Seattle countered with a power-play goal and a shorthanded tally to make it 3-2 after one. Seattle pulled even in the second and grabbed the lead early in the third, but a late power-play goal from Indy forced extra time. In overtime, Lucas Kornylo, who opened the weekend with a hat trick, delivered again, scoring the winner to secure a perfect 4-0 record.

After a tough start to the event, the New Jersey Titans closed the weekend on a high note with their first win, a shootout victory over the Wasatch Renegades. Hunter Foster opened the scoring in the first period, where penalties dominated the pace, giving New Jersey a slim 1-0 lead after two. Wasatch’s Skyler Slater tied the game in the third, and neither side could break through in overtime. In the shootout, it was Mathis Vasquez who delivered the lone goal, lifting the Titans to the win.

15U:

The Philadelphia Hockey Club wrapped up the weekend with a 2-2 record after a hard-fought win over the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights. PHC came out firing in the opening frame, striking three times, including a pair from EJ Yedwab, to take early control. Vegas answered back with two goals in the second to close the gap to 3-2 heading into the third. In the final period, both sides traded goals, but PHC held firm down the stretch to secure the victory.

Also in Philadelphia, the Little Flyers capped their first event with an overtime win against the Queen City Royals. Both teams struck in the opening frame to set the tone for a back-and-forth contest. Special teams chances came and went in the second period without a goal, keeping things even. Queen City grabbed a 2-1 lead in the third, but the Little Flyers answered to force overtime. In the extra session, leading scorer Riley Burger delivered the game-winner, sealing the victory and notching his second goal of the weekend.

That wraps up the first T1ER event of the season. Next up, the league heads to Janesville, WI for the T1ER West NAHL Experience weekend, set for October 17–20, 2025.
