18, 16U teams join the play in Blaine on Saturday

The second event of the 2023-24 T1ER League season continued on Saturday, October 14th at the Super Rink in Blaine, MN, with the 18 and 16U teams taking to the ice for the first time in the event, while the 15 and 14U teams continued play.

Sunday is another full day of hockey and exposure with all T1ER teams in action. The event runs from October 13-16 at the Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota.

T1ER 18U: The Philadelphia Little Flyers took a 6-2 win over the Madison Capitols. Luke Melito added a goal and two assists. Netminder Henry Goossen turned away 25 shots in the contest. The Vegas Jr. Golden Knights shutout the Seattle Kraken, 4-0. Connor Beers scored two goals and goaltender Zander Harp posted a 23 shot shutout. CarShield AAA and Biggby Coffee AAA went down to the wire in a shootout where CarShield took the win, 2-1. Goalie Branson Appelman turned away 17 shots in the win. The United Hockey Federation won 5-2 against the New Jersey Titans. Carter Peltier added two points and Goaltender Hunter Bauer got the win in net. The Esmark Stars added three goals in the third period to win 4-1 against the Philadelphia Hockey Club. Camden Kiste handed out two assists and goalie Landon Buterbaugh stopped 43 shots. The Northeast Generals defeated the Minnesota Grey Ducks by a final score of 4-2. Generals goaltender George Ross stopped 32 of the 34 shots he faced. The Valley Forge Minutemen blanked the Tri State Spartans 3-0. Aries Carangi posted a 19 shot shutout win. Indiana Elite won 6-3 against the Minnesota Moose. Drew Spaulding totalled three points and goalie Evan Peacock stopped 12 shots. The Colorado Springs Tigers picked up an overtime victory against the Walleye, 3-2. Jacob Wenner scored the game winner in the extra frame and goaltender Nathan Graybill picked up the win in net stopping 27 shots. The Minnesota Lakers shutout the Maine Nordiques by a score of 2-0. Cole Murphy earned the shutout after stopping all 19 shots in the game. Omaha Mastery goaltender Jacob Larsen posted a 16 shot shutout win in a 6-0 win against the Minnesota Green Giants. The Maine Nordiques blanked the Minnesota Voyageurs, 6-0. Dawson Anderson scored twice and goaltender Gavin Morris blocked 15 shots. 

T1ER 16U: The Tri State Spartans topped the Minnesota Green Giants after scoring twice in the first and second period for a final of 4-2. Jonah Whitehead totalled two points and goaltender Alex Borgert stopped 24 shots. Lincoln Stars AAA defeated the United Hockey Federation by a score of 5-3. Carson Croteau scored twice and goalie Aaron Sachs turned away 25 shots. The Philadelphia Hockey Club took a 2-1 Shootout win over Omaha Mastery AAA. Goaltender Liam Slattery was fantastic in net stopping 41 shots in the win. The Walleye topped the Colorado Springs Tigers in a 5-3 score. Bennett Prokop found the back of the net twice while Ryan Melsha stood tall between the pipes stopping 20 shots. Team North Dakota won in a shootout 4-3 over the Northeast Generals. All three North Dakota shooters scored in the shootout and goaltender Lucas Bonnet stopped 25 shots. The Vegas Jr. Golden Knights won 3-2 in a shootout against Indiana Elite. Vincent Vitale turned away 15 shots between the pipes in the win. The Minnesota Moose topped Team North Dakota, 4-1. Christian Whiteman had a two point game and goaltender Carter Mayfield took the win in net. The Madison Capitols won 4-1 against the Maine Nordiques. Landon Hill recorded a three point game with a goal and two assists. Goaltender Eli Graf earned the win in net. The Philadelphia Little Flyers scored three goals in the third period to take a 3-1 win against Biggby Coffee. Micheal Joyce and Nicholas La Buono both had a two point game. Philly goaltender Jacob Aranda backstopped 20 shots in the win. The Minnesota 15U All Stars shutout the Seattle Kraken, 2-0. Logan Avery posted a 20 shot shutout between the pipes. The Esmark Stars picked up a 5-1 win over the Minnesota Lakers. Emmet McClaine had a two point game, and goalie Herman Zippeldt got the win in net. CarShield AAA added four goals in the second period to seal a 6-2 win over the New Jersey Titans. Devon Hobson added three points, and goaltender Miles Jensen stopped 23 shots. The Lincoln Stars netted three goals in the opening frame that would be enough to get a 3-2 win against the Colorado Springs Tigers. Griffin Brown and Griffin Bendis recorded two points each while goalie Aaron Sachs stopped 11 shots. Indiana Elite scored two goals to get ahead of the Minnesota Moose, 4-1. Goaltender Andrew Stratton stood on his head stopping 22 of 23 shots. Omaha Mastery AAA scored a goal in each period to win 3-1 over the Minnesota 15U All Stars. Riley Berg scored two goals and netminder Brady Krey blocked away 28 shots. The Philadelphia Little Flyers scored a third period goal to get them the 4-3 win over the Tri State Spartans. Cooper Rogers found the back of the net twice and goalie Oliver English shrugged off 29 shots. The Vegas Jr. Golden Knights won 4-3 in the overtime period against the New Jersey Titans. Casey Berninger posted two points and goaltender Jacob Brumm stopped 29 pucks. CarShield AAA scored a third period goal to seal the win against the Esmark Star, 3-2. Goalie Andrew Bely stopped 30 shots in the win. The Madison Capitols scored two goals in each period to win 6-2 against the Minnesota Lakers. Capitols Eli Hahn scored twice while goalie William Zinnen stopped 22 shots. The Green Giants blanked the Northeast Generals by a score of 5-0. Andrew Bollinger scored two goals as goaltender Keaton LeGrande stopped 20 shots. The Philadelphia Hockey Club had a night taking a demanding win 8-3 over Team North Dakota. Gianni Annicchiarico scored a hat-trick and Maxwell Reyzin took the win in net. Team North Dakota defeated the Maine Nordiques by a score of 6-4. Cullen Rost and Byrce Mattern both had a three point game. Rylan Burke was great between the pipes stopping 20 shots. The United Hockey Federation won 4-1 against Biggby Hockey AAA. Anders Bjorklund netted two goals and goalie Evan Geyen stopped 19 shots. The Seattle Kraken and Minnesota Walleye took their game to a shootout where the Kraken won, 5-4. Evan Hinnenkamp scored twice while goaltender Ryan Melsha stopped 17 shots.

T1ER 15U: CarShield AAA edged the New Jersey Titans in a 4-3 win. Brady Bates added three points to his season with one goal and two assists. Nathan Arnold played great in net stopping 29 of the 32 Titans tries. The Madison Capitols won 5-4 against the Philadelphia Hockey Club. Mason Majewski scored three goals, dished an assist, and scored the game winner. Goaltender Hayden Niceswanger stopped 13 of the 17 shots he faced. The Esmark Stars fired up their offensive game through the second and third periods to win 7-1 against the Philadelphia Little Flyers. Goaltender Nikita Oleksiienko turned away 32 shots in the contest. The Janesville Jets flew past the Oakmoor Patriots in a shutout victory, 2-0.

T1ER 14U: The Anaheim Ice Dogs defeated the Oakmoor Patriots 5-1. Hayden Chumentowski scored three goals and goaltender Anthony Salazar stopped 10 shots. Omaha Mastery AAA added another win under their belt on the weekend with a 9-1 victory over the Seattle Kraken. Charles Barnes accounted for six points with two goals and four assists. Mastery netminder John Curtis took the win between the pipes. CarShield AAA added a goal in each frame to beat the New Jersey Titans, 3-1. Anthony Pickett posted two points with a goal and an assist, and goaltender Cameron Burle stopped 28 shots.
