T1ER completes October event in Blaine

The second event of the 2023-24 T1ER League season came to an end on Monday, October 16th at the Super Rink in Blaine, MN, with the 16 and 18U teams taking to the ice for the final time in the event.

All NAHL teams in attendance will now begin the tender signing season, which is underway exclusively for T1ER teams. Regular tenders begin on November 1st. 

T1ER 16U: Philadelphia Hockey Club evened the game in the third period to force overtime where they ended up victorious in a 6-5 win against the Seattle Kraken. Samuel Resto scored two goals, including the overtime winner, and dished out an assist. The Tri State Spartans shutout the Northeast Generals 7-0. Jack Rytel and Noah Smith both totalled five points in the contest, goaltender Nigel Smith took the win in net. The Esmark Stars scored a third period goal to get a 1-0 win over the Minnesota Moose. Goaltender Kyle McLaughlin stopped all of the 21 shots he faced. The New Jersey Titans won 5-4 against Team North Dakota. Nick Kasich scored two goals and netminder Reade Adams made 19 saves. In a battle of undefeated teams, the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights edged CarShield AAA 1-0 in overtime. Jaxon Sabataso had the lone goal and Jacob Brumm made 17 saves in the shutout win. Devin Jacobs and Tanner Esterberg each scored twice to lead the Minnesota 15U All-Stars to a 6-1 win over the Colorado Springs Tigers. Landon Bagley and Riley Berg each scored twice as Omaha Mastery picked up an 8-1 win over Team North Dakota. Thanks to two goals from Albert Bianchi, the Madison Capitols picked up a 6-2 win over the Maine Nordiques. Hudson Kutchma stopped all 24 shots that came his way Nicholas Beam and Jack McIntosh each scored twice to lead Indiana Elite to a 6-0 win over the Philadelphia Little Flyers. The Lincoln Stars AAA got goals from Griffin Brown, Wakeley Holzer, and the overtime-winner from Isaiah Castro Villegas in a 3-2 overtime win over Biggby Coffee. The United Hockey Federation scored the first three and last three goals of the game as Connor Jewett scored four times in an 8-7 win over the Minnesota Walleye.

T1ER 18U: Maine Nordiques Prep topped the Northeast Generals, 5-3, thanks to three goals in the 3rd period from Alex Elizarkov, Ryan McCarney, and Cole Winkler. The Maine Nordiques 18U team edged Biggby Coffee in a shootout, 4-3. Tyler Benjamin made 36 saves for the Nordiques in the win. Riley Capecci had a hat-trick to lead the Philadelphia Hockey Club to a 9-1 in over the Minnesota Voyagers. Alexander Robinson and Ian Dambrosio each scored twice to lead the Valley Forge Minutemen to an 11-1 win over the Minnesota Moose. In a match-up of two of the top teams in the 18U Division, the Esmarck Stars stayed perfect on the season in the T1ER standings thanks to a 4-3 overtime win over CarShield as Alex Thomas netted the overtime-winner. New Jersey forwards Nikolas Reich and Ilya Moskvin each scored twice as the Titans beat Colorado Spring, 7-3. The Tri State Spartans got five goals in the 3rd period and Daniel Jurcich scored twice as they doubled up the Minnesota Green Giants, 6-3. Little Flyers goalie Andrew Dubin made 24 saves and five different players scored as Philadelphia beat Omaha, 5-2 on Sunday. Minnesota Walleye forward scored five goals to lead his team to an 8-2 win over the Seattle Jr. Kraken. The Minnesota Grey Ducks got a hat-trick from Connor Williams in an 8-4 win over the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights. The Minnesota Lakers edged the United Hockey Federation, 4-3 in a shootout. Cullen Murray and Benjamin Amato had the shootout goals for the Lakers. Jacob Barth, Robert Walby, and Ryder Hill scored for the Madison Capitols in a 3-1 win over Indiana Elite.
