T1ER League concludes West Showcase in New Mexico

On Sunday, November 19th, the NAPHL concluded their sixth event of the season, which was the conclusion of the T1ER West Showcase at Outpost Ice Arenas in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Day 3 recaps

16U T1ER: In the opening game of the day, the Lincoln Stars completed a perfect 4-0 run through the event thanks to a 5-3 win over Team Alaska. Five different players scored in the win for the Stars including Samuel Kline, Isaiah Castro Villegas, Griffin Brown, Ryer Harings, and Eli Shulman. Team Alaska goalie Daniel Rady made 50 saves in the loss. In the next contest, Arseny Putikov scored two goals to lead the Arizona Bobcats to a 5-1 win over the Northeast Generals. Jerome Sudhaker made 16 saves in the win and Jackson McCutcheon had a goal and an assist. In the third game, the California Golden Bears got goals from Noah Poinsett-Yoshida, Roham Toorani, and Addison Noffsinger in a 3-2 win over the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights. Casey Berninger had a goal and an assist in the losing effort for Vegas. In the final game of the event, the Colorado Springs Tigers got a 29-save shutout from Connor McManus in a 2-0 win over the Seattle Jr. Kraken. Jonathan Foster and Michael Stone scored goals in the win.

18U T1ER: In the opening game of the day, the Northeast Generals erased a 3-1 lead by the Vegas Jr. Golden Knight with three goals in less than a two-minute span late in the 3rd period to post a 4-3 win. Wyatt McGruder, Trevor Riggs, Shane Bradley, and Carson Zugec scored goals in the Generals win. In the next contest, a goal from Dominic Bertolino late in the 3rd period broke a scoreless deadlock as the Colorado Springs Tigers came away with a 1-0 win over Team Alaska. Angeo Basson made 25 saves in the shutout, while Team Alaska goalie Cole Schmidt stopped 39 of 40 shots in the loss. The Arizona Bobcats got two goals and an assist from both Nicholas Correnti and Ryan Jim in a 7-1 win over the Seattle Jr. Kraken. Jake Filion made 21 saves in the win. In the final game of the event, the Wasatch Renegades picked up their first win of the event as they beat the Rose City Pats, 7-2. Mitchell Murray had two goals and an assist in the win and Maddux Hale, Jacob Odell, Easton Massengale, Wyatt Hanna, and Ryken Lay also scored. Deaken Shaw made 40 saves in the win.
