CarShield AAA 16U forward DeGroat signs NAHL tender
The NAPHL’s T1ER League is pleased to announce that CarShield AAA 16U forward Alex DeGroat has signed an NAHL tender agreement for the 2024-25 season with the Bismarck Bobcats of the NAHL’s Central Division.
DeGroat, 16, is currently in his first season playing for the CarShield AAA 16U team and in his third season overall in the NAPHL T1ER League. The 5’7/130 lbs. native of St. Louis, MO, is currently leading the T1ER 16U Division in scoring with 18 points (4 goals, 14 assists) in 8 games played.
Overall during the current 2023-24 season, DeGroat has recorded 50 points in 29 games played.
During the 2022-23 season, DeGroat played for the CarShield AAA 15U team where he led his team in scoring with 15 points in 8 games played. He was also named to the All-T1ER 15U 1st Team that season.
In 2021-22, DeGroat posted 12 points in 12 games played for the CarShield AAA 14U team.
He is the first player from the CarShield AAA 16U team so far this season who has signed an NAHL tender.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the T1ER - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2024 NAHL Draft.
