16U teams take center stage on Day 1 in Sewell

The fifth event of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) T1ER League began on Friday, December 1st with the East Showcase as the 16U teams each played in two games, while the 18U teams each had one.

The event takes place on December 1-3, 2023, at the Hollydell Ice Arena in Sewell, NJ.

All games at the December East Showcase can be watched exclusively on NATV.

ALL Participating players, coaches, & officials are invited to the NAHL games. Ticket are free for those attending the event. Family and friends will need to pay a discounted ticket fee of $5 per person.

Day 1 recaps

16U T1ER: The morning games started with a bang as the Philadelphia Hockey Club doubled up the Palmyra Black Knights by a score of 6-3. Ethan Coots had a hat trick for Philadelphia while Samuel Resto chipped in a pair of goals of his own. Joshua Kitsis logged two goals and an assist while Hayden Hunter had a goal and two assists as the the Florida Alliance defeated the Pittsburgh Vengeance 7-4. Dominic Casile and Jacob Tear each scored twice for Pittsburgh. Ryder Gibbs had three points and Brady Wilson notched two goals as the Maine Nordiques shut out the Northeast Generals 7-0. Indiana Billing made 20 saves for the Nordiques. Adam Stamm scored with 4:44 remaining in regulation to lift the New Jersey Jr. Titans to a 2-1 win over the Philadelphia Little Flyers. Nick Kasich also scored for New Jersey and Reade Adams stopped 15 of 16 shots.

In the afternoon games, the Florida Alliance kept on scoring as Hayden Hutner and Kane Eanes each potted a pair of goals in their 7-1 win over the Philadelphia Hockey Club. Dominic Casile, Giuliano Watsula, Samuel Ewing and Logan Pielech all scored for the Pittsburgh Vengeance as they doubled up the Maine Nordiques by a score of 4-2. It was an offensive outburst for the Philadelphia Little Flyers as the beat the Northeast Generals 10-1. Nicholas La Buono had two goals and two assists. Connor Davis had 5 helpers and Jack Colfer notched a goal and three assists in the victory. Christian Gallagher and Nick Kasich each scored twice as the New Jersey Jr. Titans closed out the action with a 5-1 win over the Palmyra Black Knights.

18U T1ER: The 18U games started with a nail biter between the Valley Forge Minutemen and the Philadelphia Revolution. Ty Simonet scored the game winner with 5:42 remaining in regulation to secure the win for Valley Forge. Alexander Hood, Kevin Walton and Max Findley all found the back of the net for Philadelphia Hockey Club as they defeated Team Maryland 3-1. The Mercer Chiefs scored a 4-1 win over the Northeast Generals as Nathan Steel netted a pair of goals in the victory. Francesco Donahue and Nikolas Reich scored in the New Jersey Jr. Titans held off the Pittsburgh Vengeance by a score of 2-1. Dominic Dalessandro registered a goal and an assist while Jeremy Jacobs gave out three helpers as the Philadelphia Little Flyers topped the Maine Nordiques 4-1.
