T1ER East Showcase moves onto final day in Sewell

The fifth event of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) T1ER League continued on December 2nd with the East Showcase as the 18U teams each played in two games, while the 16U teams each had one.

The event takes place on December 1-3, 2023, at the Hollydell Ice Arena in Sewell, NJ.

Day 2 recaps

18U T1ER: The Valley Forge Minutemen began the day with a 6-0 win over the Northeast Generals as Michael Heitzer made 17 saves for the shutout while Justin Zapata and Patrick Brace each netted two goals. Nikolas Reich provided all the offense for the New Jersey Jr. Titans as they defeated the Maine Nordiques 3-1. Ace Seaman provided the game winner in the third period as the Mercer Chiefs edged the Pittsburgh Vengeance by a score of 3-2. Nathan Steel and David Serdyukov also scored for the Chiefs. Tyler Manto found the back of the net twice as the Philadelphia Revolution doubled up Team Maryland 4-2. Jeremy Jacobs found the back of the net twice as the Little Flyers took home the battle of Philadelphia as they knocked off the Philadelphia Hockey Club 6-1.

In the afternoon action, Trevor Beckwith scored twice as the Maine Nordiques beat the Northeast Generals 5-1. Loik Leduc had two points of his own in the victory. William Hurlburt scored twice to lead the Philadelphia Revolution to a 4-2 win over the Pittsburgh Vengeance. Jeremy Jacobs continued his strong day with another two points in the Little Flyers 3-1 win over the Mercer Chiefs. Henry Goossen made 23 saves in the victory. Noi Jonasson scored twice as Team Maryland scored a 4-2 win over the New Jersey Jr. Titans. Lorenzo Rossi stopped all 28 shots fired in his direction as the Philadelphia Hockey Club blanked the Valley Forge Minutemen 2-0. Ryan Jaffe and Riley Capecci provided the offense for Philadelphia.

16U T1ER: The New Jersey Jr. Titans kicked off the action with a 5-3 win over the Pittsburgh Vengeance as Andrew Lisnock potted a pair of goals while Nick Kasich, Alexander Nurhan and Aiden Stamm each had a goal and an assist. Jacob Aranda was nearly perfect as he stopped 18 of the 19 shots he faced as the Philadelphia Little Flyers topped the Florida Alliance 3-1. Daniel Garvin, Cooper Rodgers and Kieran Crossan all netted goals. Jeffery Saul put up a hat trick while Blake Umberger registered three points as the Palmyra Black Knights defeated the Maine Nordiques 6-4. Braeden Nelson scored twice for Maine. Ethan Coots and Ryan Frey each got on the scoresheet six times as the Philadelphia Hockey Club took care of the Northeast Generals 10-2. Samuel Resto had two goals and two helpers in the victory for Philadelphia.
