T1ER announces USPA Peak Performers for December 2023

The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) announced its US Performance Academy T1ER League Peak Performers for the month of December. The players were selected based upon their performance during the T1ER 18U and 16U regular season games played at the East Showcase in Sewell, NJ and the West Showcase in Blaine, MN. 

 

T1ER 18U East 

Forward: Nikolas Reich, New Jersey Jr. Titans – Reich, 17, was very consistent in the four games in New Jersey. The 5’9/170 lbs native of Sunrise, FL, had seven points in the four games during the event, which included six goals. He recorded at least a point in all four games. 

Defense: Charles Leuthold, Philadelphia Little Flyers – Leuthold, 18, who won the award in October, is honored again for putting up five points in four games in New Jersey. The 6’1/195 lbs. native of Wallingford, PA, had a goal and four assists and recorded at least a point in all four games played. 

Goalie: Andrew Dubin, Philadelphia Little Flyers – Dubin, 18, won both of his starts at the event in New Jersey. The 6’4/225 lbs native of Delray Beach, FL, faced a total of 41 shots in the two wins and allowed just a single goal in each game, making 39 saves. 

 

T1ER 16U East 

Forward: Ethan Coots, Philadelphia Hockey Club – Coots, 16, who leads the 16U Division in scoring, racked up more points in New Jersey. The 6’2/170 lbs native of Harrisburg, PA, posted 15 points in four games, which included eight goals and seven assists. 

Defense: Braeden Nelson, Maine Nordiques – Nelson, 16, had his best event so far of the season in New Jersey, totaling five points in four games. The 5’11/150 lbs native of Excelsior, MN, had two goals and three assists during the event. 

Goalie: Jacob Aranda, Philadelphia Little Flyers – Aranda, 16, appeared in two games during the event in New Jersey and allowed just three goals. The 5’8/140 lbs. Native of Wallingford, PA, faced a total of 54 shots in the two games and made 51 saves, posting a 1-1-0 record. 

 

T1ER 18U West 

Forward: Tyler Dahms, Omaha Mastery AAA – Dahms, 17, who is tendered with Aberdeen in the NAHL, had a great event in Blaine, totaling seven points in four games. The 5’11/174 lbs native of Omaha, NE, had four goals and three assists and recorded two multi-point games. 

Defense: James Cullison, Madison Capitols – Cullison, 18, played a big role in Madison’s win over Vegas during the West event. The 6’0/170 lbs native of Cottage Grove, WI, had a goal and two assists from the blueline in the victory. He was also a strong defensive presence in wins over Rose City and Colorado Springs. 

Goalie: Angeo Basson, Colorado Springs Tigers – Basson, 17, appeared in two games during the West event and posted a 1-1 record. The 6’1/180 lbs native of Tahlequah, OK, faced a total of 56 shots in the two games and allowed just two goals, making 54 saves, which included a shutout. 

 

T1ER 16U West 

Forward: Eli Hahn, Madison Capitols – Hahn, 16, was a scoring machine in Blaine. The 5’11/175 lbs native Waunakee, WI, picked up five goals and an assist in four 16U games during the event, totaling six points. 

Defense: Connor Anderson, Omaha Mastery AAA – Anderson, 15, played very well in Blaine for the Mastery. The 5’5/135 lbs native of Red Wing, MN, picked up six points in four games, which included two goals and four assists, while recording multiple points in two games. 

Goalie: Jacob Brumm, Vegas Jr. Golden Knights – Brumm, 16, won both of his starts during the event in Blaine. The 6’0/147 lbs native of Las Vegas, NV, faced a total of 67 shots in two wins and allowed just two goals, making 65 saves, which included a shutout.
