New Jersey Jr. Titans forward Reich signs NAHL Tender

January 25, 2024

The New Jersey Jr. Titans of the NAPHL’s T1ER League are proud to announce that 18U forward Nikolas Reich has signed an NAHL tender agreement for the 2024-25 season with the New Jersey Titans in the NAHL’s East Division.

Reich, 18, has been playing within the Titans organization for two seasons now, joining the 16U program last year. Hailing from Sunrise, Florida the 5’9 165 lbs forward was over a point per game in his first year with the Jr. Titans, tallying 22 points (12 goals, 10 assists) in 16 games.

This season, Reich has taken the next step to the 18U squad but his offensive production hasn’t dwindled, logging 11 goals and 20 points through just 14 games so far this year. Those 20 points place him 1st overall in skaters in the T1ER league so far this season. At the T1ER East Showcase in Sewell, New Jersey, Reich scored 6 goals and an assist in four games, placing him within a select group of the T1ER’s Peak Performers.

“Nikolas has had a strong start to his 18U season.  He has shown an ability to grow in all 200 feet of his game.  He is obviously a talented offensive player but he has worked on being better away from the puck and in the defensive zone.  Nik has taken advantage of the opportunity with the Titans youth program and we are excited to be part of his continued development,” said Craig Doremus, head coach and general manager of the NAHL’s New Jersey Titans.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the T1ER - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2024 NAHL Draft.
