Tri-State Spartans 18U forward Lipsett signs NAHL Tender

The Tri-State Spartans of the NAPHL’s T1ER League are proud to announce that 18U forward Zander Lipsett has signed an NAHL tender agreement for the 2024-25 season with the Austin Bruins of the NAHL’s Central Division.

Lipsett, 18, is playing his 4th season in the NAPHL. The Lexington, Kentucky native joined the Tri-State program in the 2020-21 season, playing for the 15U squad. There, he posted nearly a point-per-game average with 24 points (8 goals, 16 assists) in 26 games. The following season, he moved up to the 16U squad and has since played the previous two campaigns with the 18U team.  Throughout his NAPHL career, he has logged 54 points in 68 games. 

This season, Lipsett recorded 2 goals and 4 assists in 11 regular season games for the Spartans. This February, he was selected to participate in the 2024 T1ER Top Prospects Tournament, a prestigious event that showcases the best young talent in the league, representing Team Blue. He also got a taste of the NAHL when he debuted with the Bruins earlier this season, playing against the Aberdeen Wings on November 17th.

Lipsett becomes the first from Tri-State’s program to sign an NAHL tender agreement for the 2024-25 season.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the T1ER - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2024 NAHL Draft.
